Tech Conferences 2027: The Best Shows for Tech Vendors, What They Cost and Who Attends
Listed by 2027 start date, with shows whose 2027 dates are not yet announced placed in their usual month, in the order of their 2026 editions. Updated September 27, 2026.
Eleven 2027 tech conferences where a technology company can meet buyers, partners or investors, with the same exhibitor facts for every one: who attends, how big it is, what a booth and a ticket cost, and what each show is best for.
The tech conference lists that rank today give you dates, a city and, at most, a ticket price with no source. None of the ones checked for this page prices exhibiting or says who is in the room by role. This list is written for the marketing, events or sales lead at a SaaS, cloud, AI, developer tools, enterprise IT or consumer tech company who has to decide where the 2027 budget goes. It is one of Events Authority’s conference lists by industry.
The shows fall into two kinds, and the difference matters more than size. Platform-owner shows (AWS re:Invent, Microsoft Ignite, Google Cloud Next and Dreamforce) are run by a platform company for its own customers and partners, so they pay off when you sell into or alongside that platform. Independent shows (CES, SXSW, TechCrunch Disrupt, HumanX, SaaStr AI Annual, Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo and Money20/20 USA) gather a broader room around a category, a stage of company or a buyer role.
Every show here runs in the US, lets a technology vendor meet buyers, partners or investors, and was checked on the host’s own live page on 27 September 2026. They are listed by 2027 start date; the six that have not announced 2027 dates yet sit in the month they usually run. Cybersecurity and IT channel shows have their own list.
Two phrases do a lot of work in the table. “On request” means the host sells booths or sponsorships but has not published the price, so you ask for its exhibitor prospectus. “Not published” means the host has not released that figure on the pages checked. Every host on this list prices exhibiting on request, so the exhibit column tells you what to ask for, not what to budget.
If you want trade show consulting for your 2027 tech calendar, Events Authority works with exhibitors from the first shortlist through the review after the show.

How do you choose the right tech conference to exhibit at?
Start with who you need to meet, then pick the kind of show. A platform-owner show fills the room with that platform’s customers and partners. That is the right room if your product runs on AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud or Salesforce, and a hard room if it does not. An independent show narrows the room a different way: CIOs and IT executives at Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo, founders and investors at TechCrunch Disrupt, B2B software founders, CROs and CMOs at SaaStr AI Annual, senior enterprise AI leaders at HumanX, bank and payments leaders at Money20/20 USA. CES and SXSW are the broad ones: CES for putting a product in front of customers and media, SXSW for consumer and brand-facing tech companies.
“On request” opens a conversation, and you get to set its terms. Ask for the exhibitor or sponsorship prospectus, and ask four questions in the same email: who exactly is attending (by role, not a headcount), what the event’s narrative is, who is speaking and about what, and whether there are scheduled opportunities for real conversations, like meals in the expo hall or dedicated showcase time. I laid those four out in a video in September 2025, and the rest of the method is in how to choose the trade shows worth your budget.
Choosing the wrong event is the most expensive mistake in events, and a famous name does not make a show the right one. If a host cannot tell you, by role, who will walk the floor, or if your buyer is a small slice of a very broad crowd, attend as a visitor first. Buy a ticket, book meetings with the buyers you already know will be there, and decide on the booth for the following year. Not to kick the hornet’s nest, but a $100K sponsorship with little or no airtime for your brand gets a firm no from me.
Then plan backward. My preparation horizon for a show I’ve chosen is at least 12 weeks before the event. Decide what should be true 30 days after the show, and score it against that with the event ROI calculator.
If you are choosing which of these to attend rather than exhibit at, the same table works for you: read the attendee line and the ticket band, and skip the exhibit columns.
Run one of these shows? If you want exhibitors who renew next year, Events Authority offers exhibitor training for event hosts.
Common questions
How much does it cost to exhibit at tech conferences? For 2027, none of the eleven hosts on this list published a booth or sponsorship price on the pages checked on 27 September 2026. All eleven price exhibiting on request, which means you ask the host directly: CES routes exhibitors to a sales representative and an application, SaaStr names its sponsor tiers (Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver) without prices, Money20/20 USA builds sponsorship packages around four goals and sends pricing through a brochure or an application, and SXSW takes sponsorship enquiries through a form. What you can price is walking the floor: a CES Standard Pass is $149 until November 30, 2026. SaaStr AI Annual’s 2027 ticket price is not published on the pages checked, so ask the host.
Which tech conferences are best for reaching enterprise buyers? It depends on which enterprise buyer. For CIOs and IT executives, Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo is billed by its host as the world’s most important gathering of them, with an IT Xpo where attendees meet solution providers; its 2026 edition runs October 19 to 22 in Orlando, and 2027 dates are not announced yet. For senior enterprise AI buyers, HumanX (March 7 to 10, 2027, Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas) is built for senior leaders, global operators and the people shaping enterprise AI strategy; it gives no attendance figure tied to a year, so ask for one. For financial services, Money20/20 USA puts its 2026 edition at 11,000+ senior attendees and says 1 in 3 hold C-suite positions. If your buyers already run on one platform, that platform’s own show puts you in front of its customers.
Which tech conferences are best for startups looking for investors or press? TechCrunch Disrupt is the show on this list built around investors: its host names founders, investors, operators and innovators as the room, and it sells separate Founder and Investor passes. Its 2026 edition runs October 13 to 15 in San Francisco with 10,000+ attendees expected, and 2027 dates are not announced yet. SaaStr AI Annual (May 11 to 12, 2027) sells a ticket tier for companies above $20M ARR and venture firms alongside its startup tier. Google Cloud Next’s 2026 edition ran a startup program that invited founders to meet other entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and industry leaders. For press, CES names media and influencers among the people it gathers. SXSW publishes no investor or press breakdown on the pages checked, so ask before you plan around it for funding or coverage.
Who attends CES? The Consumer Technology Association, which runs CES, describes it as the place where global brands do business, meet new partners and unveil new products, attracting innovators, decision makers, media, influencers and potential customers across the tech ecosystem. The pages checked on 27 September 2026 give no attendance figure for any year and no breakdown by role, so ask CTA for both with the exhibitor information. What CTA does publish: CES 2027 runs January 6 to 9 in Las Vegas, and a Standard Pass with exhibit floor access is $149 through November 30, 2026, then $349.
Is a platform show worth it if you don’t sell into that platform? Usually it is a harder room, because the people there came to learn one platform. Microsoft Ignite’s passes are built around keynotes, breakouts, labs and demos, with booths in its Hub as one included part. AWS re:Invent splits its room between builders learning new AWS services and leaders making cloud decisions. Dreamforce is Salesforce’s own ecosystem show, and the pages checked describe a partner ecosystem rather than an open expo floor. If your product works with the platform, these rooms can be excellent. If it does not, ask the host who outside its ecosystem exhibits, or test the room first with a ticket: Ignite sells a Hub-only pass for $1,625 for its 2026 edition.
What is the ROI of exhibiting at a tech conference? Compute your own rather than borrowing a benchmark. Before the show, write what should be true 30 days after it. Afterwards, add up the full cost (booth or sponsorship, tickets, travel and your team’s time) and set it against the pipeline and deals you can trace to conversations at the show, counted at the same window every time. Count conversations that led somewhere, not badge scans. The event ROI calculator linked above gives a keep-or-rethink verdict at the counting window you choose.
When are 2027 tech conference dates announced, and when should I book? Five of the eleven have announced 2027 dates: CES (January 6 to 9), HumanX (March 7 to 10), SXSW (March 15 to 21), SaaStr AI Annual (May 11 to 12) and Dreamforce (September 21 to 23). Six have not: Google Cloud Next usually runs in April; TechCrunch Disrupt, Money20/20 USA and Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo in October; Microsoft Ignite and AWS re:Invent in November. My preparation horizon is at least 12 weeks before the event, so preparation for CES should start by October 14, 2026, for HumanX by December 13, 2026, and for SXSW by December 21, 2026, which means the booking decision comes before that. If a host wants the contract signed earlier than 12 weeks out, ask for the proposed agenda and proof of scheduled showcase time before you sign.
Which tech conferences fit a smaller budget? Because no host on this list publishes an exhibit price, the budget question for most small teams is attending only. Under $500: CES, with a $149 Standard Pass until November 30, 2026 ($349 after). $500 to $1,500: TechCrunch Disrupt, whose 2026 attendee pass is $1,049 at the regular rate. $1,500 to $3,000: Microsoft Ignite ($2,325 conference pass, or $1,625 for the Hub only, at its 2026 edition) and AWS re:Invent ($2,499 full pass at its 2026 edition). Ignite also offered a free digital pass for 2026, with online keynotes and select sessions but no floor to walk. SaaStr AI Annual’s 2027 ticket price is not published on the pages checked, and Google Cloud Next, HumanX, SXSW, Money20/20 USA, Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo and Dreamforce did not publish a ticket price on the pages checked, so ask the host before you plan around them.
