HR Conferences 2027: The Best Shows for HR Vendors, What They Cost and Who Attends
Listed with broad and HR technology shows first, then specialist shows, each group by 2027 start date, and shows whose 2027 dates are not yet announced placed in their usual month. Updated September 28, 2026.
Ten 2027 HR conferences where a company that sells to HR teams can meet its buyers, with the same exhibitor facts for every one: who attends, how big it is, what a booth and a ticket cost, and what each show is best for.
The HR conference roundups that rank today are written for attendees, and the ones checked for this page never price exhibiting. This list is written for the vendor deciding where to spend a booth budget: HR technology, benefits, payroll, recruiting and learning companies, and the consultancies that serve HR. It is one of Events Authority’s conference lists by industry.
The broad and HR technology shows come first. They put you in front of HR leaders who buy across the whole function. The specialist shows follow: talent acquisition, learning, and Workhuman Live, which Workhuman hosts itself. Those rooms are narrower, so they pay off when your buyer is the specialist in the room.
Every show here runs in the US, lets a vendor reach HR buyers, and was checked on the host’s own live page on 27 September 2026; three have not announced their 2027 dates yet. Left out: shows with no vendor floor (one HR research forum’s page says outright that it has no expo hall and no vendor booths), local event networks, invite-only summits, and three conferences whose host pages could not be reached to confirm anything.
Two phrases do a lot of work in the table. “On request” means the host sells booths or sponsorships but has not published the price, so you ask for its exhibitor prospectus. “Not published” means the host has not released that figure on the pages checked. Both tell you what to ask before you sign.
If you want trade show consulting for your 2027 HR calendar, Events Authority works with exhibitors from the first shortlist through the review after the show.

How do you choose the right HR conference to exhibit at?
Start with who you need to meet. A broad show like SHRM HR-X Live! is built for HR as a whole, which suits a product every HR team touches. An HR technology show like HR Tech, Transform or UNLEASH is built around new tools and ideas for HR, so the room expects vendors. A specialist show narrows the room to one job: recruiters at Talent Acquisition Week, SHRM Talent and RecFest USA, learning and development teams at ATD. If your buyer is a head of talent acquisition, a specialist show is built around that buyer, while a broad show mixes them in with every other HR role.
“On request” is not a dead end. Every host on this list prices exhibiting that way, so ask for the exhibitor or sponsorship prospectus, and ask four questions in the same email: who exactly is attending (by role, not a headcount), what the event’s narrative is, who is speaking and about what, and whether there are scheduled opportunities for real conversations, like meals in the expo hall or dedicated showcase time. I laid those four out in a video in September 2025, and the rest of the method is in how to choose the trade shows worth your budget.
Here’s the truth: choosing the wrong event is the most expensive mistake in events, and the biggest HR show is not automatically the right one. If a host cannot tell you, by role, who will walk the floor, or if your buyer is a small slice of a broad crowd, attend as a visitor first. Buy a ticket, book meetings with the buyers you already know will be there, and decide on the booth for the following year. And if a show asks for a large sponsorship with little or no airtime for your brand, my answer is a firm no.
Then plan backward. My preparation horizon for a show I’ve chosen is at least 12 weeks before the event. Decide what should be true 30 days after the show, and score it against that with the event ROI calculator.
If you work in HR and you’re choosing which of these to attend, the same table works for you: read the attendee line and the ticket band, and skip the exhibit columns.
Run one of these shows? If you want exhibitors who renew next year, Events Authority offers exhibitor training for event hosts.
Common questions
How much does it cost to exhibit at HR conferences? For 2027, none of the ten hosts on this list published a booth or sponsorship price on the pages checked on 27 September 2026. All ten price exhibiting on request, which means you ask the host for its prospectus: HR Tech names its sponsor tiers (Elite, Premier and Preferred) without prices, ATD sends its prospectus on request, Gartner asks exhibitors to contact its exhibitor sales team, and Transform sells exhibit space in its Transform Experience pavilion through a sponsorship prospectus request. The one published vendor price is not a booth: Talent Acquisition Week sells a $1,895 Solution Provider Pass for its February 2 and 3, 2027 conference days.
Which HR conferences are best for reaching HR technology buyers? HR Tech, Transform and UNLEASH are the three built around HR technology. HR Tech reported 7,200+ attendees for its 2025 edition by its own count and frames its audience as HR and business leaders evaluating technology; its 2027 dates are not announced yet, and it usually runs in October. Transform (April 12 to 14, 2027, Las Vegas) mixes HR leaders with startups, venture investors and workforce solution companies. UNLEASH runs April 13 to 15, 2027 in Miami. Older roundups still list a separate Las Vegas “UNLEASH America”, but the host’s own events page now shows only Paris and Miami editions, so check the city before you budget travel.
Which HR conferences are best for talent acquisition or learning vendors? For talent acquisition, three shows focus on recruiters: Talent Acquisition Week (February 2 and 3, 2027, San Diego), for sourcing, recruiting and employer branding teams; SHRM Talent (April 11 to 14, 2027, Colorado), for recruiters in-house, on contract, at agencies and in search firms; and RecFest USA (Nashville, 2027 dates not yet confirmed; its 2026 edition ran in September), for in-house talent acquisition teams. For learning, ATD International Conference & Expo (May 16 to 19, 2027, Boston) draws learning and development professionals from more than 80 countries and lists 300+ exhibitors on its EXPO floor for 2027.
Who attends SHRM HR-X Live!? SHRM bills HR-X Live!, the conference formerly branded the SHRM Annual Conference & Expo, as the premier HR conference, and pitches it to HR leaders, down to the HR department of one. The pages checked on 27 September 2026 give no attendance figure and no breakdown by role, so ask SHRM for both with the exhibitor prospectus. What SHRM does publish: the 2027 edition runs June 27 to 30 in Chicago, the individual rate is $2,095 at SHRM member pricing, and teams get group discounts.
Is a big HR show worth it for a small vendor? It can be, but you cannot know until you have the prospectus. A show with thousands of attendees, like HR Tech with 7,200+ in 2025, is also a crowded floor for a small booth. A small vendor has cheaper ways to test a room first: RecFest USA’s tickets are free, and Talent Acquisition Week sells a $1,895 Solution Provider Pass for its two conference days. Attend, book meetings, and make the booth decision with a year of your own evidence.
What is the ROI of exhibiting at an HR conference? Compute your own rather than borrowing a benchmark. Before the show, write what should be true 30 days after it. Afterwards, add up the full cost (booth or sponsorship, tickets, travel and your team’s time) and set it against the pipeline and deals you can trace to conversations at the show, counted at the same window every time. Count conversations that led somewhere, not badge scans. The event ROI calculator linked above gives a keep-or-rethink verdict at the counting window you choose.
When are 2027 HR conference dates announced, and when should I book? Seven of the ten shows have announced 2027 dates: Talent Acquisition Week (February 2 and 3), SHRM Talent (April 11 to 14), Transform (April 12 to 14), UNLEASH (April 13 to 15), Workhuman Live (April 26 to 29), ATD International Conference & Expo (May 16 to 19) and SHRM HR-X Live! (June 27 to 30). Three have not: HR Tech and Gartner HR Symposium/Xpo usually run in October, and RecFest USA, which ran in September in 2026, has not stated its 2027 dates plainly on its page. My preparation horizon is at least 12 weeks before the event, so preparation for Talent Acquisition Week should start by November 10, 2026, and for the mid-April shows by mid-January 2027, which means the booking decision comes before that. If a host wants the contract signed earlier than 12 weeks out, ask for the proposed agenda and proof of scheduled showcase time before you sign.
Which HR conferences fit a smaller budget? Because no host on this list publishes an exhibit price, the budget question for most small teams is attending only. Free: RecFest USA, though its 2027 dates are not yet confirmed. $500 to $1,500: Workhuman Live, with a $1,195 early-bird ticket (full price $2,295, early-bird ending in early November), and Talent Acquisition Week, with commercial practitioner passes from $1,395 in pre-sale until October 22, 2026. $1,500 to $3,000: SHRM Talent ($1,895 member rate), ATD ($1,895 member and $2,295 nonmember early-bird until December 31, with virtual passes from $595 for members) and SHRM HR-X Live! ($2,095 member rate). HR Tech, Transform, UNLEASH and Gartner did not publish a ticket price on the pages checked, so ask the host before you plan around them.
