Construction Trade Shows 2027: Where to Exhibit, What a Booth Costs and Who Attends

Listed by 2027 start date, with the three shows whose 2027 dates are not yet announced placed after them in the order their latest editions ran. Updated September 28, 2026.

Ten 2027 construction trade shows and conferences where a company that sells to contractors, home builders, architects or building owners can meet its buyers, with the same exhibitor facts for every one: who attends, how big it is, what a booth and a ticket cost, and what each show is best for.

The construction trade show lists that rank today are calendars and directories: a name, a date, a city, sometimes a line of description. The ones checked for this page give no attendee, cost or size figures for any show. This list is written for the marketing, events or sales lead at an equipment, materials, software or services company who has to decide where the 2027 booth budget goes, and every figure below carries its source and the year it belongs to.

One host here publishes a booth price you can turn into a real number. At the NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS), the smallest booth a nonmember can buy for 2027 is 100 square feet at $63.00 a square foot, plus a mandatory $300 fee, which comes to $6,600. The International Roofing Expo (IRE) publishes a 2027 rate of $61.08 a square foot for nonmembers, but no minimum booth size, so its total is still a question for the host. The other eight price exhibiting on request.

The shows fall into four kinds, and the kind tells you who is walking toward your booth:

  • The big floor shows. World of Concrete, IBS and IRE are built around a large exhibit hall that buyers walk to find products: concrete and masonry at World of Concrete, residential building at IBS, roofing and exteriors at IRE.
  • Association conventions. The AGC Annual Convention (general contractors), the NECA Convention and Trade Show (electrical contractors), NASCC: The Steel Conference (structural steel) and the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design (architects) are run by the trade’s own association, so the room is that trade’s people.
  • The building-performance show. Greenbuild, presented with the U.S. Green Building Council, draws sustainability buyers across design, ownership and consulting.
  • Technology and legal forums. ENR FutureTech is for business and technology leaders in architecture, engineering and construction; the Construction SuperConference is for professionals in the legal and commercial construction markets.

Every show here runs in the US and was checked on the host’s own live pages in late September 2026. Seven have published their 2027 dates, and they are listed by start date. Three recurring shows have not announced 2027 dates yet, so they follow, in the order their latest editions ran, with the city of that edition. One known show was left out because its host pages could not be reached to confirm anything.

Two phrases do a lot of work in the table. “On request” means the host sells booths or sponsorships but has not published the price, so you ask for its exhibitor prospectus. “Not published” means the host has not released that figure on the pages checked. Both tell you what to ask before you sign.

If you want trade show consulting for a construction show calendar, Events Authority works with exhibitors from the first shortlist through the review after the show.

How do you choose the right construction trade show to exhibit at?

Start with who buys your product, then pick the kind of show that puts them on the floor. Let’s say you sell a roofing product that a contractor installs but an architect writes into the plans. At IRE you meet the contractors who install it and the distributors who stock it. At the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design you meet the people who specify it. At Greenbuild you meet owners, property managers and specifiers who care about efficiency and certification. Those are three different conversations, and a booth message built for one does not fit the other two. The association conventions narrow further by trade: NECA for electrical contractors, NASCC for structural steel, AGC for general contracting leadership. The forums narrow by problem: ENR FutureTech for construction technology, the Construction SuperConference for legal and risk.

A per-square-foot rate is not a booth price until you know the minimum size and the fees. IBS shows how the math works. Its 2027 schedule sets a 100 square foot minimum, $63.00 a square foot for nonmembers and $55.50 for NAHB members, and a mandatory $300 per exhibitor for the online exhibitor directory and an exhibitor liability insurance policy. So the smallest nonmember booth is 100 x $63.00 + $300 = $6,600, and the smallest member booth is 100 x $55.50 + $300 = $5,850. That buys the space and that fee. Your build, freight and the team’s travel come on top. IRE’s $61.08 rate looks close, but the host states no minimum size, so ask for the smallest space it sells before you compare the two.

Then ask each host for the same things in one email: the exhibitor prospectus with booth sizes and prices, an attendee profile by role, and an attendance figure tied to the 2027 edition. Add four questions: who exactly is attending (by role, not a headcount), what the event’s narrative is, who is speaking and about what, and whether there are scheduled opportunities for real conversations, like meals in the expo hall or dedicated showcase time. I laid those four out in a video in September 2025, and the rest of the method is in how to choose the trade shows worth your budget.

Here’s the truth: choosing the wrong event is the most expensive mistake in events, and a big Las Vegas floor is not automatically the right one for your buyer. If a host cannot tell you, by role, who will walk the floor, or if your buyer is a small slice of a broad crowd, attend first. Book meetings with the buyers you already know will be there, and decide on the booth for the following year. And if a show asks for a $100K sponsorship with little or no airtime for your brand, my answer is a firm no.

Mind the calendar, because the big floors come early. World of Concrete (January 19 to 21, 2027, with education from January 18), IBS (February 2 to 4) and IRE (February 16 to 18) all run in Las Vegas within a month of each other. My preparation horizon for a show I’ve chosen is at least 12 weeks before the event, so preparation for World of Concrete should start by October 27, 2026, which means the booking decision comes before that. Decide what should be true 30 days after the show, and score it against that with the event ROI calculator.

Looking for CONEXPO-CON/AGG? Its host says the next show is March 13 to 17, 2029 in Las Vegas, so there is no 2027 edition; the conferences hub covers it.

If you are a contractor or builder choosing which of these to attend, the same table works for you: read the attendee line and the ticket column. The three big floor shows publish 2027 expo passes under $500; every other host has not released a general rate yet.

Run one of these shows? If you want exhibitors who renew next year, Events Authority offers exhibitor training for event hosts.

Common questions

How much does it cost to exhibit at a construction trade show? Two of the ten hosts on this list published a 2027 exhibit rate on the pages checked. IBS charges $63.00 a square foot for nonmembers and $55.50 for NAHB members, with a 100 square foot minimum and a mandatory $300 fee per exhibitor for its online exhibitor directory and an exhibitor liability insurance policy, so the smallest nonmember booth is $6,600 (NAHB 2027 Exhibit Space Fee schedule, read 27 September 2026). IRE charges $61.08 a square foot for nonmembers and $55.09 for NRCA members, for spaces of 599 square feet or less, at its 2027 rates; it states no minimum booth size, so ask for one. The other eight hosts price exhibiting on request, so you ask each for its prospectus. None of the ten published a sponsorship price on the pages checked; AGC names its sponsor tiers (Platinum, Gold, Silver and General) without prices.

Which construction trade shows are best for reaching contractors? It depends on the trade. The International Roofing Expo (February 16 to 18, 2027, Las Vegas Convention Center, West Hall) names residential and commercial contractors, remodelers, builders and distributors as its room, and its host’s snapshot of the 2026 edition says 44% of attendees were CEOs, owners, presidents and VPs and 84% play significant roles in their company’s buying process. The AGC Annual Convention (April 6 to 8, 2027, Phoenix Convention Center) reaches commercial construction executives, project managers and field leaders. The NECA Convention and Trade Show is the electrical contractors’ own show and usually runs in October. World of Concrete (January 19 to 21, 2027, Las Vegas Convention Center) serves concrete and masonry professionals. None of these four publishes a 2027 attendance figure on the pages checked, so put that question in your first email to the host.

Which construction trade shows suit building-product manufacturers? Match the show to the person who chooses your product. If the builder chooses, IBS (February 2 to 4, 2027, Las Vegas) is built for residential building professionals looking for new products, technology, services and solutions. If the architect or specifier chooses, the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design (May 19 to 22, 2027, Philadelphia) is the architects’ own conference; its host said AIA26 connected hundreds of exhibiting companies with thousands of architects and specifiers, and booth sales for 2027 are open. If your pitch is efficiency or certification, Greenbuild’s host names architects, building owners, property managers, specifiers and consultants as its room; its 2027 dates are not announced, and it usually runs in October. For one material or trade, World of Concrete (concrete and masonry), IRE (roofing) and NASCC: The Steel Conference (structural steel) put that trade’s buyers in one hall.

Which construction trade shows suit construction technology companies? ENR FutureTech (May 4 to 5, 2027, Hilton San Francisco Union Square) is the one on this list built around technology: its host describes it as for business and IT leaders in architecture, engineering and construction exploring emerging technologies that improve construction productivity, profits and safety. Exhibit and sponsorship prices are on request. IBS also lists technology among what its attendees come to find. If you sell contract, insurance or risk software or services, the Construction SuperConference reaches mid- to senior-level professionals in the legal and commercial construction markets; its 2027 dates are not announced, and its 2026 edition runs December 1 to 3 in Huntington Beach, California.

Who attends the International Builders’ Show, and how many? NAHB describes IBS as the largest gathering for residential building professionals in North America, for building professionals looking for new products, technology, services and solutions. On its home page, under “IBS 2027 by the numbers”, the host states 78K building pros, 27K+ organizations and 1.7K+ exhibitors for the 2027 edition (checked 27 September 2026). These are the host’s own figures, published before the show. IBS 2027 runs February 2 to 4, 2027 in Las Vegas; the venue was not named on the pages checked.

What is the ROI of exhibiting at a construction trade show? Compute your own rather than borrowing a benchmark. Before the show, write what should be true 30 days after it. Afterwards, add up the full cost (booth space and fees, the build, freight, tickets, travel and your team’s time) and set it against the pipeline and deals you can trace to conversations at the show, counted at the same window every time. Count conversations that led somewhere, not badge scans. The event ROI calculator linked above gives a keep-or-rethink verdict at the counting window you choose.

When are 2027 construction trade show dates announced, and when should I book? Seven of the ten have announced 2027 dates: World of Concrete (January 19 to 21), IBS (February 2 to 4), IRE (February 16 to 18), the AGC Annual Convention (April 6 to 8), NASCC: The Steel Conference (April 14 to 16), ENR FutureTech (May 4 to 5) and the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design (May 19 to 22). Three have not. NECA usually runs in October (2026: October 4 to 7, Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas). Greenbuild usually runs in October (2026: October 20 to 23, Javits Center, New York). The Construction SuperConference usually runs in December (2026: December 1 to 3, Huntington Beach), and its host says the call for presentations for 2027 opens in early 2027. My preparation horizon is at least 12 weeks before the event, so preparation should start by October 27, 2026 for World of Concrete, November 10, 2026 for IBS and November 24, 2026 for IRE, which means the booking decision comes before that. Ticket rates move in the same stretch: World of Concrete’s $115 exhibits-only rate and IBS’s $160 non-member expo pass rate both end December 11, 2026, and IRE’s early-bird rate ends January 22. If a host wants the contract signed earlier than 12 weeks out, ask for the proposed agenda and proof of scheduled showcase time before you sign.

Which construction trade shows fit a smaller budget? To exhibit: IBS is the one host on this list whose published 2027 schedule gives a full booth price, $6,600 for the smallest nonmember booth or $5,850 for an NAHB member, in the $5,000 to $15,000 band. No host here publishes a booth under $5,000. IRE’s $61.08 nonmember rate is close to IBS’s per square foot, but its total depends on a minimum size the host has not stated. Every other show prices exhibiting on request, so ask for the smallest option each one sells. To attend: the three big floor shows publish 2027 expo passes under $500. World of Concrete’s exhibits-only registration is $115 until December 11, 2026, then $145, and $165 onsite. IBS’s non-member expo pass is $160 from October 1 to December 11, 2026, then $240, and $300 onsite. IRE’s Expo Only Package is $150 for nonmembers ($100 for NRCA members) until its early-bird rate ends January 22. The other seven have not published a 2027 general ticket rate on the pages checked, so check each host’s registration page before you plan around it.
